Food For Friends

Contact Maryann to sign up for a time slot.
The SU recommends troops participating for the first time, let Maryann know so she can pair you with an experienced troop.
For younger scouts consider asking each girl to sign up for a 1/2 hour time slot and have only a few girls at one time.  It can be hectic for the leader to supervise too many girls at a public location such as this and too many scouts in one spot can be counterproductive if they are in a small space.

Any scout who participates in 2 or more of the following events will receive free patch from the Service Unit.

Dates are all Sundays
12/20: Stop and Shop 9am - 4pm
1/24: Stop and Shop 9am - 4pm
2/28: Fairway 9am - 4pm
3/13: Fairway 9am - 4pm
Cereal for Kids
5/22: Fairway 9am - 4pm

Pop-tabs collection

Share the Voice is a programthat raises funds to provide adaptive tricycles to special needs children.  They collectpop-tabs to raise funds.  If wecollect these as a Service Unit, there is no telling how many we can give them.  Pop-tabs can be brought to any Service Unitleader meeting.  Thank you.

Community Service Projects

Share your pride in your troop community service projects and inspire others to continue your work or start their own community service efforts.
Contact Laura using the 'Contact Our Service Unit' link above and announce your collection efforts and we'll post your troops' accomplishments here!

Girls often need leaders to list/verify community service hours.  Requests from Honor Societies go back 3 or 4 years.
We often forget what patches we want to order and who earned them.
For these reasons, many leaders track attendance information carefully and keep those records on file for years.
Attached is a sample spreadsheet that can be used to track this information.
