Organization

A Den is a group of 6-8 Cub Scouts who are all in the same school grade level.  Dens meet once per month with one outing per month.  Outings are based on Achievement requirements found in the Scout Handbook.  Sample outings might include hikes, fire station tour, television station tour, baking cookies at a den member's house, or visiting the library.  The schedule and location of meetings is determined by the den members.  Dens are organized according to grade level:
  • Lions: Kindergarten
  • Tigers: First Grade
  • Wolves: Second Grade
  • Bears: Third Grade
  • Webelos: Fourth and Fifth Grade
Taken all together, these Dens form a Pack. The Pack meets once per month and is a great time for boys of all ages to interact with each other, play games, and do crafts.  The Pack also participates in outings several times a year.  These events include campouts, service projects, parades, etc.

Pack Meetings are held in the Fellowship Hall at First Presbyterian Church, Oceanside.

Youth Protection Guidelines

Pack 752 adheres strictly to the Two Deep Leadership code.  At NO TIME is there to be fewer than two adults (not a couple) alone with a scout.  All of our leaders have been trained in youth protection guidelines.  For the safety of your son, Cub Scouting rules require that you stay at all den and pack gatherings at the Tiger Cub Level!

To learn more about the Cub Scout Youth Protection Guidelines you can view the training that all Leaders are required to take at
Parents are welcome and encouraged to take the training as well - it's free!
